Bryant suffered the injury during the Lakers loss to the New Orleans on Wednesday night. What has a been a tough season for the Lakers as a whole just got worst. Bryant has been taking much criticism for his shot selection and inability to hit clutch shots this season.
Earlier in the year he was playing heavy minutes and his legs were giving out on him. More recently the Lakers have been trying to save his legs resting him on the second day of back to backs.
For the Lakers it is a tough time as they transition out of the Kobe Bryant era. Bryant thanked his fans for the thoughts and prayers on Twitter.
This is what happens when I pass too much! #ShoulderShock thank u all for ur thoughts and prayers #team@DrinkBODYARMOR@Lakers#oneluv

The Lakers will need to try to pick up the slack without Bryant in the lineup. Bryant had also recently been named to the All-Star team but that is now out of the question.
Bryant will most likely undergo surgery in the coming days.
