BREAKING: CHARGERS TAKE MIKE WILLIAMS!
- Updated: April 27, 2017
The Los Angeles Chargers has selected Wide Receiver Mike Williams from Clemson University.
Mike Williams is considered the best receiver in this year’s draft by all draft contributors. Williams, 6’4, 218 lbs, was successful in helping the Tigers win the National Championship over Alabama.
In 15 games last season, Williams caught 98 passes for 1,361 yards with 11 touchdowns, while averaging amazing 13.89 yards per play.
Big play ability, great size, and he’s able to create separation from opposing defenders describes the Chargers first round pick. Williams is compared to Alshon Jeffery of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Quarterback Philip Rivers now has a legitimate target at Wide Receiver. With Keenan Allen returning from injury, and the emergence of Dontrelle Inman and Travis Benjamin, the Los Angeles Chargers should have no problems in the passing game.
