Santiago was in his third year with the Angels after spending three years with the Chicago White Sox. He was an All-Star in 2015 with the club.
This year Santiago has been up and down although he does have a 10-4 record. His ERA is at 4.25. Anaheim saw the opportunity to sell at the deadline and made the move for the future.
Rosenthal reported further details.
Told #Angels–#Twins trade is cash-neutral. Cash going from MIN to LAA presumably.
