Bryant the 5-time World Champion, and 2- NBA Finals MVP has a fantastic career. Bryant has suffered with injuries over the last few years which has limited his time on the floor.
Bryant is set to make $25 million dollars this season the most in the league. This season will be his 20th, all with the Lakers.
Magic Johnson calls Bryant the greatest Laker ever. Bryant will turn 37 years old next season which make him one of the oldest players in the league. He has given us countless memories in Lakerland. Mitch Kupchak spoke with Holmes about a farewell tour for Bryant. Here is an excerpt from Holmes article.
“It’s kind of up to the player, if they want to do something like that,” Kupchak said. “And it also may take away some options a year from now and put a player in an awkward position, but he will be recognized appropriately with great gratitude when it is time.”
Bryant will forever be my favorite player and I will be watching his final season with mixed emotions. Sadden to see my hero walk away from the game but happy to know he’ll go down as one of the greatest of all time.
