According to Corey Brock of MLB.com the San Diego Padres have placed pitcher Brandon Morrow on the 15-day disabled list.
#Padres Brandon Morrow (right shoulder inflammation) says he wasn’t recovering as he’d like. Missing 2 starts now could help him later.

Morrow has been suffering from some shoulder inflammation and the Padres feel it’s best to shut him down for a few days.
Morrow has been great so far this season. In his 5 starts he is 2-0 with a 2.73 ERA.
The trip to the disabled list is a precautionary measure and Brock believes that it will help the Padres later on in the season. With such a long season a quick trip to the DL in May can go a long way come August and September.
Padres fans are hoping it’s just quick trip as they appreciate his efforts so far this season.
Damn, #BrandonMorrow to the DL. Hope it’s a quick trip like #IanKennedy. #Padres
