Brandon McCarthy Underwent Tommy John Surgery

According to reports to Ken Gurnick of MLB.com Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Brandon McCarthy underwent Tommy John surgery yesterday.
Based on his medicated tweet, safe to assume Brandon McCarthy underwent his Tommy John surgery today as scheduled.

McCarthy underwent surgery after the news broke that he a torn UCL. McCarthy tried to tweet after taking a few pain killers. Let’s just say that didn’t end too well.

The Dodgers had to make a couple roster moves to fill in for the McCarthy injury. Gurnick reported the news.
Dodgers claim LHP Eury De La Rosa from Oakland, option to OKC. Transfer Brandon McCarthy to 60-day DL. McCarthy TJ surgery today.

Some reports say that the recovery time for McCarthy is 14-18 months. If that’s the case it will be a long time before the Dodgers see him on the mound again.
