McCarthy, the 34-year old right hander has been battling injuries all season. He has pitched in 16 games and has a 6-4 record with a 3.84 ERA.
Los Angeles is in the market for a starting pitcher due to the fact that they have not be able to find any consistency in the back of their rotation. The Dodgers are the hottest teams in baseball and look to continue that momentum through the second half of the season.
