Brandon Ingram Named To All-Rookie Second Team

According to the official Twitter account of the Los Angeles Lakers, Lakers rookie Brandon Ingram was named to the All-Rookie second team.

Ingram was the second overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft by the Lakers out of Duke University. Ingram played in 79 games and started in 40 of them.

He averaged 9.4 points per game to go along with 4 rebounds and 2.1 assists. Ingram came alive during the second half of the season where he shot 48% from the field and averaged 13 points per game.

Magic Johnson and the Lakers are hoping they are able to pair Ingram and Lonzo Ball as the cornerstone pieces of the franchise for years to come. This is the third year a row that a Laker has made a all rookie team.
