Boston Celtics Vs. Los Angeles Lakers, Start Time, Preview, TV

The Boston Celtics travel to Los Angeles tonight to take on their rival Lakers in a battle of little implications. Tonight’s game means nothing for either team as they both are struggling and at this point jockeying for draft position.

While the Lakers are in the midst of a seven game losing streak it is important to point out that these two teams have already met once this season. When the Lakers traveled to Boston back in December it was a big deal that Kobe Bryant and Rajon Rondo met him for a friendly breakfast.

Now two months later, Rondo is no longer wearing the Boston green and Bryant is out for the rest of the year due to injury. For two franchises that have such storied legends part of their teams tonights game lacks star power to be nice.

The Celtics did acquire quick guard Isiah Thomas who has gave the Lakers fits in the past and will likely suit up tonight.

The lone bright spot for the Lakers is rookie Jordan Clarkson. Byron Scott spoke to ESPN.com about his development.

“I’m excited with the way he’s playing,” said Scott about Clarkson. “So far, he’s come a long way in a short period of time. And obviously, like we’ve talked about, the summer’s going to be big for him to continue to develop.”

Let’s see if the Lakers can end this losing streak!
