This is the first time that Griffin has been named to the third team. The last three seasons he was an All-NBA Second time recipient.
This year Griffin ranked in the top ten in scoring a game. He was also in the top 20 in field goal percentage in the league.
Griffin averaged 21.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 5.3 assists this year. Many people were impressed by his improved mid-range shot as well as his passing ability.
He did miss some time due to a staph infection but still played in 67 games. The Oklahoma Sooner made his 5th straight All-Star game appearance as well.
Griffin elevated his game tremendously in the playoffs this year recorded multiple triple-doubles. There were some stretches during the playoffs that Doc Rivers let Griffin bring the ball up and run the offense depending on the lineup.
As Griffin continues to improve so will the Clippers. Its been fun watching him grow and Clipper fans can’t wait to see how he improves this summer.
Congratulations Blake Griffin!
