Blake Griffin Out Indefinitely And To Undergo Surgery

The Los Angeles Clippers’ star, Blake Griffin, is out indefinitely following the diagnosis of a staph infection in his right elbow. He will undergo surgery on Monday.

The team announced the news through their official Twitter account, and he will be re-evaluated after the All Star break.

Blake Griffin is the leading scorer for the Clippers and he is averaging 22.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and a career-high 5.1 assists this season. Griffin be out for at least the next three games before the Clippers decide on his return.

Blake Griffin was set to play in the All-Star game next weekend, but it looks like he will be out for that too.

The Clippers will conclude their eight-game road trip to Dallas on Monday night, but not before taking on the Thunder today. The Clippers will return home to host the Houston Rockets on Wednesday which will mark their final game before the All-Star break.
