Bellinger’s 38th HR Lifts Dodgers Over Nats

Cody Bellinger hit his 38th home run of the season the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Washington Nationals 3-2 on Saturday night. Los Angeles has now won 4 in a row.
Rich Hill got the start for the club. He pitched 5 innings allowing 1 hit and 1 run. He walked 2 and struck out 7 as he picked up his 10th win of the year.
On the other side A.J. Cole got the start. He pitched 5 innings allowing 7 hits and 3 runs. He walked 2 and stockout 5 as he picked up his 5th loss of the year.
The offense got started in the 2nd inning when Bellinger hit his 38th home run of the year. He followed up with an RBI single in the 3rd inning that brought in Chase Utley and the Dodgers led 2-0.
Anthony Rendon hit his 24th homer of the year to put the Nats on the board. Justin Turner hit a sac-fly in the 5th inning that pushed the lead to 3-1 for Los Angeles.
In the 8th inning Trea Turner hit a RBI single that brought in Wilmer Difo. Kenley Jansen came on in the 9th inning and threw just 7 pitches to get his 38th save of the year.
