Austin Rivers To Miss 2+ Weeks With Right Heel Bruise

According to Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Clippers guard Austin Rivers will miss two or more weeks with a right heel bruise.
Austin Rivers underwent further testing that showed a bruised right heel. Will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

Elloit Teaford of the Southern California News Group shared more information on the news.
Per #Clippers, Austin Rivers has a right ankle impingement (a bruised heel in layman’s terms), further testing revealed. He’ll be sidelined for two weeks when he’s re-evaluated.

Rivers has missed the last two games with the injury after leaving the game against the Lakers with what the team thought was an Achilles injury. He is averaging a career high 15.8 points per game but averaged over 19 points while shooting 43% from three in the month of December.
Los Angeles will take on the Okalmaha City Thundr tonight at the Staples Center.
