Astros Rally Back To Beat Angels 7-5

The Houston Astros scored 3 runs in the 8th inning to beat the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 7-5 on Sunday night. Anaheim has loss 4 out of the last 5 games.
Ricky Nolasco got the start for Anaheim. He pitched 6 innings allowing 6 hits and 4 runs. He walked 2 and struck out 4 as he was awarded a no decision.
On the other side Charlie Morton. He pitched 5 innings allowing 4 hits and 3 runs. He walked 1 and struck out 5 as he was awarded a no decision for his efforts.
The offense got started in the first inning when Jose Altuve hit a 2-run shot that brought in George Springer. Brian McCann hit a RBI single in the 4th inning that was followed by an RBI single by Marwin Gonzalez that gave Houston a 4-0 advantage.
In the 5th inning Ben Revere hit a 3-run double that brought in Andrelton Simmons, C.J. Cron, and Martin Maldonado to cut the lead to 4-3.
Luis Valbuena hit a 2-run shot in the 6th inning to give Anaheim a 5-4 lead. It was McCann in the 8th inning that hit a 3-run triple in the 8th inning that severed to be the game winning runs.
Ken Giles came on in the 9th inning and picked up his 26th save of the year. Anaheim will begin their series with he Oakland Athletics tonight at 7:07 p.m. PST
Daniel Gossett and Andrew Heaney are the projected starters.
