Angels Woes Continues In The Bronx, Angels Lose To Yankees, 6-3

The second game of the four-game set goes to the New York Yankees, as the defeated the Angels, 6-3.
The Angels have had their troubles in the Bronx with the Yankees and this game is a definite continuation of the team’s frustrations. The Yankees jumped out to a five-run lead in the first three innings, before the Angels were able to score. Los Angeles scored their only runs in the fifth inning, on a single off the bat of Shortstop Gregorio Petit, that scored Rafael Ortega. Petit scored later on Kole Calhoun‘s seventh homer of the season.
Angels starter David Huff made his season debut for the Halo’s as he encountered a very rough outing. Huff only pitched three and two-thirds innings, allowing five earned runs, including homers to Carlos Beltran and Starlin Castro.
HALOS DUGOUT:
The team committed two errors in last night game, numbers 32 and 33. The American League average is 32 and the team is now tenth in fielding in the league with a .984 fielding percentage.
ANGELS ON DECK:
The two teams will square-off in the third game of this four-game series. The Halos (26-32), will send Jered Weaver
(5-4, 5.18 ERA), to the mound to face Nathan Eovaldi (6-2, 4.09 ERA) of the Yankees, Eovaldi has been the Yankees best pitcher so far this season. Both teams are struggling to get above the .500 mark, and close the gap between them and their divisional leaders. The Angels have climbed out of the basement of the American League West, they have a one-game lead over the Oakland A’s but are still ten full games behind the Texas Rangers.
