Angels Top White Sox 12-8

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim used 16 hits to beat the Chicago White Sox 12-8 on Thursday. Ths Halos have now won two in a row and are 10 games back in the Wild-Card race.
For the Angels Nick Tropeano got the start. He pitched 6.1 innings allowing 5 hits and 5 runs. He walked 2 and struck out 7 but allowed 5 home runs and picked up his 4th win of the year.
On the other side, Dylan Covey got the start. He pitched 4.2 innings allowing 9 hits and 6 runs while walking 2 and striking out 2. He picked up his 6th loss of the year.
The offense got started in the first inning Jose Abreu hit a solo home run. Kole Calhoun answered back with a solo shot of his own in the bottom half of the inning.
Daniel Palka hit a solo shot of his own in the second inning and the White Sox led 2-1 after two. In the third inning, Justin Upton hit an RBI single and Ian Kinsler hit a solo home run in the fourth inning.
Adrelton Simmons hit an RBI triple that brought in Upton and Albert Pujols. Avisal Garcia hit a solo home run for the Sox in the seventh inning. Palka and Nicky Delmonico added solo shots of their own in the inning.
Francisco Arcia hit a 3-run home run in the 7th inning to push the lead to 9-5. Garcia hit an RBI single in the 8th to cut the lead to 9-6.
Upton hit an RBI double to bring in Mike Trout in the 8th inning that was followed but an RBI double by Kinsler and an RBI single by Arcia.
In the 9th Abreu hit another home run for his side that brought in Yoan Moncada and the Angels went on to win 12-8.
