Angels Sign Dustin Ackley To Minor League Deal

According to the official Twitter account of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim the club as signed former New York Yankees infielder Dustin Ackley to a minor league deal.

Chris Cotillo of SB Nation also reported the news.

Cotillo reported that Ackley would have his jersey retired at his alma mater as well.

Ackley is a former first round pick of the Seattle Mariners in the 2009 MLB Draft. He has spent time with the Mariners and the Yankees throughout his career.
Last season with the Yankees he appeared in 28 games and hit just .148. The former number two overall pick will help provide some depth to the Angels roster.
