Angels Sign Chris Carter

According to Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have signed free-agent first basemen Chris Carter to a minor league deal.
The #Angels have agreed to terms with Chris Carter on a minor league deal. Carter adds depth lost when CJ Cron was traded.

The #Angels have signed OF Chris Young to a one-year major league deal, in addition to the minor league deal with Chris Carter.

Pedro Moura of the Athetic shared information about the deal.
As @JeffFletcherOCR said, Chris Carter is joining the Angels on a minor-league deal. He will be in big-league camp, per a source. He hits a lot of homers, but has hovered around replacement level in recent seasons.

Carter is a former 15th round pick of the Chicago White Sox in the 2005 MLB Draft. He has spent time with the Oakland Athletics, Houston Astors, Milwaukee Brewers, and New York Yankees throughout his career.
