Angels Shutout Rangers 1-0

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim used a Jose Fernandez solo home run to beat the Texas Rangers 1-0 on Tuesday night.
Jim Johnson got the start for the Halos. He pitched 1.1 innings allowing 2 walks and striking out 1. He was awarded a no-decision for his efforts.
On the other side, Adrian Sampson got the start. Sampson pitched 5.0 innings allowing 2 hits and 1 run. He walked 1 and struck out 2 and picked up his 1st loss of the season.
Fernandez’s solo home run in the 2nd inning put the Halos up 1-0. Ty Buttrey came on and pitched 1.1 innings and picked up his 2nd save of the season.
The Halos bullpen threw a no-hitter over 7 innings that propelled the club to victory. With the win, the club goes to 72-73 on the season.
The Halos will host the Texas Rangers at 7:07 p.m. at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Yovani Gallardo and Felix Pena are scheduled to start. Fans can tune into Fox Sports to watch the game
