Angels Reach Out To Free-Agent 3B Mike Moustakas
- Updated: December 12, 2017
According to Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have reached out to free agent first basemen Mike Moustakas.
Can confirm that the #Angels have had discussions with Mike Moustakas. This should surprise exactly no one, since they talk to everyone and he’s a natural fit, but there it is. Nothing with Moustakas-Angels seems to be hot at the moment.

Fletcher reported further information on the news.
Also, Logan Morrison remains a possibility at first base for the #Angels, despite Albert Pujols now being penciled in for 50ish games at first.

Moustakas was born in Los Angeles and is a former number two overall selection of the Royals in the 2007 MLB Draft. He has spent his entire seven-year career with the club being named an All-Star twice.
Last season Moustakas hit a career-high 38 home runs and drove in 85 RBI’s. It’s no secret that the Angels have some issues in the infield and Moustakas could be a good get for the club.
