@rincon_sports

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim showed some fight in a 10-9 comeback win over the Seattle Mariners, for a three-game sweep.

What a comeback! The Angels erased a six-run deficit with an enormous display of offense in the bottom of the ninth. Albert Pujols his 592nd homer of his career leading off the inning, and a two-run single to even the score at nine apiece.

Chad Pennington collected the game-winner on a deep single to right, scoring Mike Trout to finish off the comeback.

Reliever Andrew Bailey (W,2-0), picked up the win with only one inning of work. Starter Matt Shoemaker gave up seven runs in only 4-1/3 innings, including a three-run homer to Robinson Cano.

NEXT UP FOR LOS ANGELES:

The team will remain at home to face Cole Hamels (0-0, 4.50 ERA), and the Texas Rangers (2-4) in game one of the three-game series. Tyler Skaggs (0-1, 8.44 ERA), will start for the Angels (5-2). Los Angeles will be seeking their fourth straight victory at home, to start the season.
