Angels Rally Falls Short, Lose 7-5 To Twins

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim rally fell short on Sunday as they fell to the Minnesota Twins 7-5.
Nick Tropeano got the start for Anaheim. He pitched 4.1 innings allowing 4 hits and 5 runs. He walked 3 and struck out 2 as he picked up his 4th loss of the year.
On the other side, Fernando Romero got the start. He pitched 5.0 innings allowing 5 hits and 3 runs, 2 earned. He walked 2 and struck out 5 as he picked up his 3rd win of the year.
The offense got started in the first inning when Albert Pujols hit an RBI single that brought in Ian Kinsler and gave the Angels a 1-0 lead.
Logan Morrison hit a 2-run shot in the bottom of the inning that brought in Eddie Rosario and Minnesota took a 2-1 lead.
Jose Fernandez hit an RBI double that brought in Zach Cozart. Eric Young followed with a sacrifice fly that brought in Fernandez and the Angels led 3-2.
In the 5th inning, Jake Cave hit an RBI single that brought in Mitch Garver. Ehire Adrianza hit an RBI triple to push a run across, and Eduardo Escobar capped things off with an RBI double and the Twins held a 5-3 advantage.
In the 6th inning, Cave hit a 2-run shot that brought in Max Kepler. Albert Pujols hit a 2-run single in the 9th inning to cut the lead to 7-5 but it wasn’t enough to lead the comeback.
