Angels Rally Back To Beat Astros 7-6

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim used an 8th inning rally to come from behind and beat the Houston Astros 7-6 on Saturday night.

Tyler Skaggs got the start for Los Angeles. He pitched 5 innings allowing 6 hits and 5 runs, 4 of them earned. He walked 2 and struck out 3 as he was awarded a no decision.

On the other side Brad Peacock got the start. He pitched 6 innings allowing 3 hits and 1 run. He walked 1 and struck out 8 as he was awarded a no decision.

The offense got started in the 1st inning when Josh Reddick hit a RBI single to right center that brought in Alex Bregman and Yuli Gurriel.

In the second inning it was Brian McCann who scored on a balk. Jake Marisnick scored on a Luis Valbuena fielding error and the Astros lead 4-0.

It was Kole Calhoun in the bottom of the 2nd who hit a solo shot to right field to put the Angels on the board. Marisknick and George Springer each hit solo home runs of their own in 4th and 7th innings.

Valbuena hit a groundout to second that brought in Calhoun in the bottom half of the 7th. C.J. Cron grounded out that brought in Andrelton Simmons.

In the 8th Calhoun hit a RBI single that brought in Mike Trout and Simmons hit a 3-run shot that brought in Pujols and Calhoun to give the Halos the lead.

Bridwell Parker came on in the 9th and picked up his second save of the year.
