Angels Rally Back To Beat A’s 10-8

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim used a 5-run 7th inning to beat the Oakland Athletics 10-8 on Wednesday night. For Anaheim they have won 3 in a row.

Parker Bridwell got the start for the Angels. He pitched 3 innings allowing 6 hits and 7 runs. He walked 3 and struck out 2 as he picked up a no decision for his efforts.

On the other side Kendall Graveman got the start. He pitched 5 innings allowing 6 hits and 5 runs. He walked 3 and struck out 5 as he was awarded a no decision for his efforts.

The offense got started in the 1st inning for Anaheim. Mike Trout hit a solo homer that put the Angels up 1-0. Albert Pujols hit a homer of his own in the 3-run inning, a 2-run shot that pushed the Anaheim lead to 3-0.

Oakland scored all 8 of the their runs in the 4th inning. Matt Joyce hit a RBI double that brought in Jed Lowrie. Ryan Healy followed with a RBI single that brought in Khris Davis. Olson hit a 3-run homer, followed by a Maxwell 2-run shot. Lowrie drove in a run to cap of the inning 8-3.

Pujols hit another home run in the 5th inning. Calhoun hit a RBI single in the 7th and Pennington hit a grand slam that pushed the Angels to victory 10-8.

Anaheim will have a day off before taking on the Texas Rangers on Friday night. Tyler Skaggs and Nick Martinez are the projected starters.
