Angels Push Streak To 4 In A Row

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have came out of the break hot and beat the Texas Rangers 9-5 on Monday night. With the win Anaheim has won four in a row.
For the Halos Nick Tropeano got the start. He lasted just 2 innings allowing 3 hits and 4 runs. He gave up three home runs and was awarded a no decision for his efforts.
On the other side A.J. Griffin got the start. He pitched 5 innings allowing 4 hits and 5 runs. He walked three and was also awarded a no decision.
The offense started in the first inning when Rougned Odor hit a two-run home run that brought in Jurickson Profar. Adrian Beltre followed with a solo shot to left center field and Rangers held a 3-0 lead.
The longballs continued in the second inning when Mitch Moreland hit a solo home run and the Ranger took a 4-0 lead.
Anaheim finally got on the board in the fourth inning. Albert Pujols drew a walk that brought in Yunel Escobar. Daniel Nava hit a sacrifice fly that brought in Kole Calhoun and the Halos trimmed the lead to 4-2.
Ji-Man Choi hit a solo home run in the fifth inning to trim the lead to 4-3. Anaheim pushed two across in the 6th inning thanks to a throwing error and a Johnny Giavotella RBI single.
With the Halos up 5-4 Bobby Wilson hit a RBI double that brought in Nomar Mazara and tied the score a 5-5.
Anaheim took the lead for good in the bottom of the 7th inning. Calhoun reached on a fielder’s choice that brought in Jett Bandy.
Mike Trout delivered the blow of the night when he hit a three-run shot. His bomb brought in Andrelton Simmons and Calhoun and that was too much for the Rangers to overcome.
Anaheim will continue their series with the Rangers tonight at the Big A at 7:05 p.m. PST
