Angels Overpower Rangers

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim overpowered the Texas Rangers 10-1 on Tuesday night that ended up being a historic night for Albert Pujols. Pujols hit his 610th career home run and passed Sammy Sosa to become baseball’s all-time leader for a player not born in the U.S.
Ricky Nolasco got the start for the Angels. He pitched 4.2 innings allowing 5 hits and 1 run. He walked 3 and struck out 6 batters and was a no decision for his efforts.
On the other side Tyson Ross got the start. He pitched 3.2 innings allowing 7 hits and 3 runs. He waked 4 and struck out 4 and he picked up his 3rd loss of the year.
Pujols started the offense in the 1st inning with a RBI single to right field that brought in Mike Trout and gave Anaheim a 1-0 lead.
In the 4th inning Kole Calhoun hit a RBI double that brought in Caleb Coward and Trout to push the lead to 3-0. Elvis Andrew hit a sacrifice fly in the 5th inning that brought in Delino DeShields to put the Rangers on the board.
Cowart hit a 3-run homer that brought in C.J. Cron and Martin Maldonado later in the inning. Luis Valbuenea hit a RBI single in the 6th inning, and Pujols hit a 3-run shot in the 7th inning that capped off the night for the club.
