The Los Angeles Angels have promoted Dave Hansen as the team’s hitting coach. Hansen joins Charlie Nagy, who was just named the Angels new pitching coach.
As widely assumed, it looks like Dave Hansen will be promoted to Angels hitting coach, replacing Don Baylor. Announcement likely this week.

As stated above, Dave Hansen is replacing Don Baylor, who has been asked to return in an advisory role (but has yet to announce his decision).
Dave Hansen has actual baseball experience, as he was ranked as one of the game’s premier pinch-hitters in a 15-year career that spanned from 1990-2005. He also has experience being the Dodgers’ hitting coach in 2012 and the Mariners’ hitting coach in 2013.
