Angels’ Mike Trout To Return To Lineup Friday

Mike Trout

After a successful surgery and some time a rehab assignment, Mike Trout will return to the Angels after the All-Star break on Friday.

All signs are very positive for Trout rejoining the club. Trout had no setbacks in his four appearances at the Angels High-A affiliate Inland Empire.

Trout will be welcomed back to the Angels lineup after missing 39 games with a thumb injury. This was the first major injury of Trout’s career, as the setback denied him from making his sixth-straight All-Star appearance.

The team slipped to a 19-20 record during his absence, with an overall record of 45-47. The Angels are currently in second place in the AL West, 16-1/2 games behind the red-hot Houston Astros.

Trout one of the best players in the game will help the Angels big time down the stretch of the season as they look to make the playoffs in 2017. Anaheim has held their own without their star outfielder.
