Angels Interested In Jason Heyward?

‏@MLB

According to Jon Morosi of Fox Sports the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim are interested in St.Louis Cardinal outfielder Jason Heyward.

The Angels already have Mike Trout and Kole Calhoun in the outfield but and they have already acquired Braves shortstop Andrelton Simmons.

Heyward was traded to the St.Louis Cardinals from the Braves last season. He was a former first round pick in 2007 MLB draft to the Braves.

Heyward spent five seasons with the Braves before joining the Cardinals. Last season he hit .293 with 13 home runs and 60 RBI’s. He also had 33 doubles with a OBP of .359.

Heyward did win a gold glove last season for his excellent defensive work. It will be interesting to see if Billy Eppler goes after Heyward or will focus his efforts elsewhere.
