The Angels confirmed the news on their official Twitter account.
Today the #Angels recalled RHP Jose Valdez from Salt Lake and designated RHP Tim Lincecum for assignment.

Lincecum signed with Angels back in May to a one-year deal and has struggled since joining the club. He underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum and has not been the same.
With a 9.16 ERA it is unlikely that anyone believes that the former Cy Young award winner can still be a starter. A team may take a flyer on him and see if he can come out of the bullpen.
