Angels Come Up Six Runs Short In Texas, 15-9

@halosheaven

When your team scores nine runs, usually your team is assured a victory, but the Angels fell short against the Texas Rangers in the finale, 15-9.

The runs were not hard to find in a score like this one, the Angels manage to get on the scoreboard first, to take an early lead. The Rangers answered the scoring in the bottom of the inning. Los Angeles regained the lead in the top of the second inning, adding three more runs and pushing the lead back to 4-1.

You can see the pattern of this one of where it’s going. The Rangers came back in the bottom of the second inning, with five more runs, while giving the Rangers a two-run advantage at the end of only two full innings, 6-4. In that inning, Rangers right fielder Nomar Mazara hit his second homer in the series off of Angels starter Hector Santiago (L,3-3).

The Halos managed to close the gap twice, adding runs in the fifth and sixth innings, but the Rangers exploded for a four-run sixth, a one-run seventh and another two-run eighth to end the scoring. The Angels did add three runs in the top of the eighth, on a blast from off the bat of Angels left fielder Rafael Ortega.

HALOS DUGOUT:

The Angels have played eighteen games this season, in which seven or more runs has been scored. The record is 10-8, but there been some games that the team would rather forget.
