Angels Close Out Mariners 3-2

The Los Angeles Angels were able to pull out a win this afternoon against the Seattle Mariners. They won 3-2.

Hector Santiago kicked off pitching followed by Felix Hernandez.

Scoring didn’t come until the top of the fourth inning with Seattle Mariners. Nelson Cruz stepped up and he doubled to deep center, which helped Franklin Gutierrez to score and moved Robinson Cano to move to third. Seattle up 1-0.

Fast forward to the seventh inning. Erick Aybar singled to left center which helped Kyle Kubitza to score. Tie game.

In the eighth Kole Calhoun singled to center, and Taylor Featherstone was able to score. Calhoun also transitioned to second after advancing on a throw. The Angels took the lead 2-1.

Kyle Seager homered to right in the eighth which put the Mariners at 2-2 with the Angels.

The game between the two teams went to extra innings. It wasn’t until the bottom of the tenth that Calhoun scored on a wild pitch and ended the game in the Angels favor.

Up next the Los Angeles Angels will take on the New York Yankees at 7:05 pm PST.
