Tyler Skaggs (W,1-0), threw an even 100 pitches in seven innings of work to pick up the win. Skaggs was the first Halos pitcher this season to pitch past the sixth inning. Bud Norris (S,1), picked up the save after Kirby Yates made his Halos debut. Yates gave up two late homers to Toronto’s Kevin Pilar in the eight and Justin Smoak.

The Angels (8-11) will try to build on the win in the third game of the four-game series. Daniel Wright (0-0, 6.75 ERA) will start for the Halos. Marcus Stroman (1-2, 4.05 ERA) will be on the mound for the Blue Jays (4-13).
