Angels Agree To Deal With Matt Shoemaker

According to Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have agreed to a deal to avoid arbitration with pitcher Matt Shoemaker.

Shoemaker has spent his entire career with the Halos. Shoemaker finished second in rookie of the year voting in 2014 when he posted a 16-4 record and a 3.04 ERA.
Last season with the club Shoemaker posted a 9-13 record with a 3.88 ERA. He pitched in 27 games and threw in 160 innings. He gave up a 166 hits and struck out a career high 143.
Los Angeles agreed to terms with a number of their players as they look to finalize their roster going into Spring Training.
