The Angels reported the news on their official Twitter account.

Escobar is a former second round pick of the 2005 MLB Draft. He has spent time with the Atlanta Braves, Tampa Bay Rays, Washington Nationals, and Angels throughout his career.

So far this season Escobar has five homeruns and 17 RBI’s. He is batting .266 and has a OBP of .318. Anaheim sits at 28-28 on the season.
