Angels Acquire SP Odrisamer Despaigne

According to Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have acquired starting pitcher Odrisamer Despaigne.
The Angels, in need of a healthy arm, bought P Odrisamer Despaigne, 31, from the Marlins. He pitched for the Marlins’ AAA team, the New Orleans Baby Cakes.

The Angels confirmed the news on their official Twitter account.
Today, the Angels acquired RHP Odrisamer Despaigne from the @Marlins in exchange for cash considerations. To make room on the 40-man roster, RHP Dayan Diaz has been designated for assignment.

Despaigne has spent time with the San Diego Padres, Baltimore Oriloes, and Miami Marlins throughout his career.
This year Despaigne has pitched in 11 games and has posted a 2-0 record with a 5.31 ERA. He has struckout 18 batters in 20 innings of work.
