Jackson is a former fifth round pick of the St. Louis Cardinals back in the 2009 MLB Draft. He has spent a majority of his career in the minor leagues but did play a few games in the majors with the Cardinals and Angels.
Last season he appeared in 22 games for the Angels with 14 plate appearances. With the all injuries going around with the Halos they are looking for some depth wherever they can get it.
