According to multiple reports the Los Angeles Angels have acquired Dan Robertson from the Texas Rangers.

The Angels will give up a player to be named later or cash considerations for the outfielder.  Robertson was drafted in the 33rd round of the 2008 draft by the San Diego Padres. The 28 year outfielder was traded from the Padres to the Rangers in April in order to help provide depth to a injury filled Rangers team.

He made his major league debut in April of this year, and played in 70 games. In his 70 games Dan Robertson posted a .271 batting average that included 9 doubles.

During his 3 years at the Triple-A level, Robertson’s batting average is .294, with a .371 OBP.

We are unsure how active the Angels will be this offseason, but this is the first move for the Angels.

Welcome to the team Dan Robertson!
