Andrelton Simmons To Undergo Surgery On Thumb

According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim shortstop Andrelton Simmons will undergo surgery on his left thumb.

Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times also reported the news.

As this season goes on it looks like the Angels can’t catch any breaks. Injuries in the rotation as hurt the club and now an injury in the infield doesn’t help the cause.
So for this season Simmons is hitting .219 with eight RBI’s. Simmons is not known for his offense as he is one of the best defensive fielders in the game.
The Angels will take on the St. Louis Cardinals tonight at home.
