Anaheim Ducks Score Two in the 3rd Period To Beat Wild 3-1

The Anaheim Ducks scored two goals in the final period on Wednesday night to beat the Minnesota Wild 3-1. With the win the Ducks have won three of their last four games.

Minnesota got the board first when former Los Angeles Kings player Jarrett Stoll scored a snap shot goal. For Stoll it was his second goal of the year and was assisted by Erik Haula.

Anaheim answered back with a goal of their own a few minutes later. Chris Stewart tipped on in to tie the game at 1-1. Shea Theodore and David Perron were credited with the assists and after the first period the game was even.

In the second period there were no goals, but the Wild outshot the Ducks 14-11. Zach Parise picked up a holding penalty on Hampus Lindholm early in the period. Rickard Rakell also picked up a holding penalty on Nate Prosser in the period as well.

Rakell made up for his penalty when he scored his tenth goal of the year in the third period. His goal was assisted by Patrick Maroon and Corey Perry to give Anaheim a 2-1 advantage.

The Wild pulled their goaltender and Jakob Silfverberg scored his sixth goal of the year. His goal was assisted by Andrew Cogliano and Ryan Kesler to give the Ducks a 3-1 lead.

For Anaheim John Gibson made 25 saves for a 96% save percentage. Devan Dubnyk made 24 saves for a 92% save percentage.
