Anaheim Ducks Trade Sami Vatanen To New Jersey Devils

According to Eric Stephens of the Orange County Registers, the Anaheim Ducks have traded defensemen Sami Vatanen and a conditional third-round pick in exchange for Adam Henrique and Joseph Blandisi.
Ducks have traded Sami Vatanen and a conditional draft pick to Devils for Adam Henrique, Adam Blandisi and a 2018 third-round pick.

Henrique is to arrive in Columbus tonight. Presume the Ducks will want to get him right in against the Blue Jackets.

Ducks GM Bob Murray said he had been looking at Adam Henrique back at the draft. Had to wait until all his defense was healthy before making a decision. At some point, was going to have too many D and too much money tied up on blue line.

GMBM said he thinks Getzlaf will be back before Kesler. Both are skating daily, as RC had said, and he expects the two will join Ducks on next road trip before Christmas.

Henrique said he was “shocked” when he talked to Devils GM Ray Shero. The two had spoke for a while.
