Alex Wood Expected To Miss 8 Weeks

According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Alex Wood is expected to miss eight weeks following elbow surgery.

Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times also reported the news.

Mike DiGiovanna of the Times confirmed the news.

Wood has been out since late May due to elbow soreness and it looks like he will done for the year. This news adds to the bad news that Los Angeles is facing with the possibility of Clayton Kershaw being shut down indefinitely.
Brett Anderson is also out and he is hoping to return mid-August but Los Angeles’ struggles continue with health in their rotation.
