Adrian Gonzalez Lifts Dodgers Over Brewers 4-3

All-Star Adrian Gonzalez hit a 2-run shot in the 8th inning to lift the Los Angeles Dodgers over the Milwaukee Brewers 4-3. The Dodgers were able to win the series after last night’s loss.
Brett Anderson got the start for the Dodgers. He pitched 7 innings allowing 8 hit and 3 runs. He struck out 3 and picked up the no decision in his outing.
On the other side Kyle Lohse got the start. He pitched 5 innings allowing 4 hits and 2 runs. He struck out 6 and also picked up the no decision.
The Brewers struck first in the 1st inning this afternoon. All-Star Ryan Braun hit a solo shot to center field, his 16th of the year and the Brewers took the early 1-0.
In the bottom half of the inning Justin Turner hit a RBI single to bring in Jimmy Rollins. This tied the score at 1-1.
Hernan Perez hit a solo shot in the 3rd inning to give the Brew Crew the 2-1 lead. The Brewers were at again in the 5th inning. Perez reached on a fielder’s choice that brought in Adam Lin and Milwaukee held a 3-1 advantage.
A.J. Ellis hit a solo shot in the 5th inning to cut the lead 3-2. Gonzalez hit the big 2-run shot that brought in Howie Kendrick and the Dodgers took the late 4-3 lead.
Kenley Jansen came on in the 9th to pick up his 16th save of the year.
The Dodgers head into the All-Star break with a record of 51-39. They will travel to Washington on Friday night.
