1.  The Respect for Kobe is Real

Growing up Kobe Bryant always has and always will be my favorite player. As I watched the All-Star game and saw the best players in the world stop and recognize Bryant as he walked off the floor of his final All-Star game gave me chills.

I think Bryant has hit the level that we all strive to reach in our professions. When your peers stop and recognize you for your achievements, give you a pat on the back, and say well done you know you’ve earned your stripes. Some of these players may go down in history when it’s all said and done ahead of Kobe. LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and many others have many seasons left in the league and have time to make their mark but like me they grew up admiring and striving to be like Bryant.

It was great to see Bryant and Pau Gasol on the floor together having fun as if they were on the playground. It was fun to see Paul George scored 41 and West All-Stars deciding to lock down on defense. I appreciate the weekend for the memories that were made and I’m happy the Mamba got to reception that he so very much deserves.
