Tim Duncan Shines, Spurs Take Game #2 111-107 in OT

Tim Duncan turned back the clock and gave the San Antonio Spurs a vintage performance as they beat the Los Angeles Clippers in overtime 111-107.

In a game that went back and forth the Clippers saw Blake Griffin put in a triple-double but it wasn’t enough. Griffin had 29 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists tonight. He did have 5 turnovers that cost the Clippers.

Chris Paul scored 21 points.  He also added 8 rebounds and 7 assists. DeAndre Jordan had a double-double with 20 points and 15 rebounds. He struggled from the free throw line shooting just 6-17.

J.J. Redick struggled from the field again but reached double figures. He scored 16 points and Jamal Crawford add 11 off the bench. Matt Barnes couldn’t find his shot shooting just 1-10 from the field.

For Tim Duncan he scored 28 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the way. Kawhi Leonard was spectualar tonight as well. He added 23 points and 9 rebounds. Patty Mills and Boris Diaw reached double figures off the bench. Mills scored 18 and Diaw added 12.

Mills scored clutch free throws at the end of regulation to send the game into overtime. Tony Parker left the game in the fourth quarter with a Achilles injury.

Manu Ginobili fouled out in the game tonight but it was Mills who filled the void to help propel the Spurs to victory.

Game three will take place in San Antonio on Friday night.
