Los Angeles Dodgers Vs. Arizona Diamondbacks Game #3 Preview
- Updated: April 12, 2015
The Los Angeles Dodgers will look to avoid being swept when they take on the Arizona Diamondbacks in the final game of their three game series this afternoon. The Dodgers were shut out in last night’s contest 6-0.
For the True Blue Zack Greinke will get the start. He is coming off a no decision where he pitched 6 innings allowing 2 hits and 1 run while striking out 4. Greinke has no problem against NL West opponents since he’s joined the Dodgers. He holds a 18-1 record in that department and he’ll look to continue that dominance today.
For the D’Backs they’ll turn to Josh Collmenter. He was roughed up in his last start on Opening Day against the Giants. He pitched 4.2 innings allowing 10 hits and 5 runs while striking out 4. He earned the loss in his first start of 2015. He may be just want the Dodgers need to get out of their slump. In his three starts against the Dodgers last year he posted a 6.87 ERA.
Yesterday was a day of numerous injuries for the Dodgers. Third Baseman Justin Turner was injured and replaced by Juan Uribe. Uribe got injured himself and was replaced by Alex Guerrero who will start today.
Yasel Puig got the day off yesterday will return to the lineup as well.
