The Los Angeles Lakers will return home tonight to host the Minnesota Timberwolves. One of the Lakers wins in the month of March came from beating the Timberwolves, but things aren’t looking as bright now.
The Lakers are now 0-5, just this month, but a win against Minnesota would put the TWolves consecutive total losses at 9. Coach Byron Scott offered the following inspiration about the team, as reported by ESPN.com:
“You’ve just got to keep playing,” coach Byron Scott said. “The bottom line is you’ve got four games left to try to atone for this one and play a lot better at both ends of the floor. It can happen. It’s just a matter of going out there and doing it.”
Jeremy Lin is still out for the ream.
As for the Timberwolves, they are relying on the number one pick and rookie, Andrew Wiggins, to bring positivity to a team that is wholeheartedly struggling. He is currently averaging 24.3 points a game. Coach Flip Saunders said the following about him, as reported by ESPN.com:
“He’s getting stronger posting up. He’s getting the ball where he wants it,” coach Flip Saunders said.
Let’s go Lakers!
