The Los Angeles Lakers will “travel” tonight to take on the Los Angeles Clippers at the Staples Center. The Lakers will be without Jeremy Linand Nick YoungCarlos Boozer, and Wayne Ellington€. For the Clippers, they could have Jamal Crawford return for the first time since a calf injury.

The Lakers lost Sunday night’s meeting between the two teams by a whopping 106-78. They have now dropped 15 of 19 and are missing the playoffs, in back-to-back years, for the first time since 1976. They have now beaten the record for most games lost in a season.

As for the Clippers, they are looking to sweep the Lakers for the second time in three seasons. The Clippers’ win on Sunday made their record 10 wins in 11 games.

Doc Rivers said the following to the media regarding the “rivalry”, as reported by NBA.com:

“I don’t know what it is, but it’s just like playing your high school (rival),” Rivers said after the Clippers set a team record with a sixth straight win over the Lakers. “It’s a rivalry, you know. It is, but it’s not. But you know each other. Whenever you know each other, you know the game has meaning.”

Either way, one of our team wins!
