Padres Vs. Dodgers Game #2 Preview

(Photo via Twitter User )

Jimmy Rollins hit a three run shot in the eighth inning to give the Los Angeles Dodgers the 6-3 victory over the San Diego Padres on Opening Day yesterday. In a game that was full of emotion with the return of Matt Kemp tonight the dust will settle as the Padres and Dodgers square off in game two of the series.

Zack Greinke will take the mound for the Dodgers. Greinke went 17-8 last season with a 2.71 ERA .He has had a ton of success against the Padres over his career. In his 7 starts against the Padres he sports a 4-0 record with a 1.84 ERA. He has not got a taste of the new look San Diego team and he’ll get a shot when they face off multiple times this season.

For San Diego Tyson Ross will get to make his season debut. Ross was named an All-Star for the first time in his career last season. He sported a 13-14 record with a 2.81 ERA for the Frias last season. He was on the wrong end of the stick when he faced the Dodgers last year. He went 0-4 with a 2.67 ERA proving he is the unluckiest. He will look to get in the win column this year when he take the mound.

Clayton Kershaw was dominant yesterday and today’s pitchers should provide a show of their own. Yasmani Grandal may make his first start in a Dodger uniform tonight to catch for Greinke. A.J. Ellis started behind plate for Kershaw yesterday.
