Albert Pujols hit a grand slam in the 5th inning and the Los Angeles Angels beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-0. As Spring Training winds down both the Dodgers are Angels look to gain some momentum heading into the season.
Andrew Henley got the start for the Angels. He pitched 5.1 hitless innings for the Angels in his last start in the spring. He has struggled this spring and it was nice to see him have a strong outing.
David Freese hit a two run bomb in the second inning as they Angels scored all six runs off of the long ball. Brandon McCarthy got the start for the Dodgers. He pitched 3 innings allowing the Freeze home run.
The Dodgers recorded just two hits in tonight’s game thanks to Angels excellent pitching. Scott Van Slyke was the only Dodger to record a hit.
The Angels and Dodgers will play tomorrow in their last game of the spring.
